The Valley
Intervale
Intervale is considered part of Bartlett, but if you say "Intervale" to a local, they’ll know you mean the area from the Intervale Scenic Vista to Stanley's Hill, just beyond Joe Jones North on Rt. 16. You'll often see local cars parked at the Scenic Vista; even those who live here never tire of the fantastic view. You can see right up the intervale - the flat land that runs along the river - to Mt. Washington.

Schools

Josiah Bartlett Elementary School in the center of Bartlett. This award-winning school includes Kindergarten through 8th grade. Students then go to Kennett High School in Conway.

Government

The town offices are on Town Hall Road in Intervale.

Recreation

Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring & Snowshoe Center, based on Ragged Mt. Equipment on Rt. 16, includes 60km of trails that connect Intervale, Kearsarge, and North Conway. Mountain Pond, at the end of Town Hall Road is technically in Chatham, but still is a favorite place for an easy hike around its shores. If you're a golfer, there's the White Mountain Driving Range and miniature golf at White Mountain Family Golf, both just off Rt. 16.
